Why I Became a Mortgage Broker

After working at a reputable BIG 6 bank for over 7 years, starting as a teller and working my way up to Mobile Mortgage Specialist for the last 3 years there, I often get asked why I left?

Being a Mobile Mortgage Specialist at TD was great and I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the bank and learned a lot of what I know today from working there. The rates were competitive, the bank has great products, and the support was unmatched from any other workplace I’ve been employed at.

That being said, I reached a level where my clients were not coming to me because I worked for TD, they were coming to me because they wanted to work with ME. My professionalism, knowledge, communication, and connection with other industry professionals is what drew my clients to me.

Additionally, my role at TD was very unilateral in the sense that I could only do Residential Lending. As a Mortgage Broker, I now have access to multiple lenders including private lenders, B lenders, and commercial lending allowing me the capability to lend on any property without restriction.

Making the move to being a Mortgage Broker with Clear Trust allows me to serve my clients better and offer many different lender products as opposed to only one. This gives me and my clients more opportunity to seek the best products/ rates that fit their unique situation.

If you are looking for a career as a Mortgage Broker please reach out to me to discuss as I am looking to grow my team.
